Tips
- Send letters in the first week of term.
- Keep emails short. Three to five sentences works best.
- Save every email in one folder.
- Copy your advisor when something goes wrong.
- Never share more medical detail than your letter includes.
For apprentices in Ontario
Certification exams follow a separate process. Skilled Trades Ontario has its own Exam Accommodation Request Form. Submit it with supporting documents before booking. CLAC gives extra time and a separate room as examples of supports. Other provinces have their own process. Ask your apprenticeship office.
